Yashica 44A
Yashica 44A; c1960. A compact TLR which used 127 film. This is the first Japanese camera to use the 4x4 format (starting with 1958 models). The A is engraved on the top of the camera next to the serial number. The A model has no auto film stop and used the rear window to align frames. 60mm f3.5 Yashikor lens in Copal shutter 1/25-1/300th synced. These cameras came in blue, grey, rose, or black enamel. The rose color was more of a purple color which is the death color in Japan.
